Welcome to Sawasdee Thai Cuisine, where you can experience the taste of Thailand through our food. My name is Apinya Bangching. I’m from Chiang Mai northern part of Thailand, and with the Co-owner of Sawasdee, Stephen Salvator, we try to bring authentic Thai Cuisine here in Hershey. We used to work together in the restaurant business for many years, before we finally decided to realize our dream to open our own Restaurant Here At Hersey. We picked Sawasdee which means hello in Thailand language as the proper name of our restaurant, because we want to express our excitement just to be here by saying Sawasdee Hershey!

With Sawasdee Thai Cuisine we believe that we could bring not just delicious and healthy food, but also to introduce some of the beautiful Thailand culture to the community around us. We think that Thai cuisine is very unique in its own way, because in every dish like curry, noodle, or even salad, we use many spices and ingredients. That is why every bite from our food is an explosion of flavor, and every single item from our menu have its own character. Most of the dishes we put in our menu are influenced by northern Thai cuisine style which where I (Apinya) came from, and we use our own method of cooking to serve them traditionally.

We chose elephants as our symbol for the restaurant, because in Thailand the people believe they bring good luck and prosperity. Which exactly what we want for people to have when they enter our restaurant and enjoy our food, once again good luck and prosperity. So, come on already!
